Today I found my absolute favorite job: bathing tobacco.
Another physically exhausting job, but I love everything that has to do with water and you can splash around.
To the process: the tobacco comes - ready fermented - into the "Mojado", this is the room where it is bathed.
It arrives more or less glued together (depending on storage time and type of tobacco) and must first be loosened up and then moistened and dripped off on a grid.
Only then the tobacco becomes elastic again and can be processed further.
The "Mojado" troupe was very humorously and I had lots of fun!
